Here he is, the incredible Joel Wyss! On Christmas day, in the evening, him and I went to a beautiful park that over looks Perth and hung out and watched a movie on my laptop. It was a great evening. He also gave me those beautiful earring that I'm wearing in this picture.

Yes, those are all chickens. One of my jobs on Christmas Eve was to stuff those chicks and make a sauce to pour over them. Jillian and I had good fun.

Quick comment. My boyfriend Joel pointed out that he is actually in two other picture's on my blog. If you look at the 21st of October, the picture's of the volleyball game, he is there. He is facing the camera and wearing beige pants and burgundy shirt. If you double click on the photo it's self you will see him more clearly.

Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Can you spot me? Can you spot my boyfriend? Yes, he is in the choir to. Ok, fine I'll tell you where he is. He is the tall good looking, Swiss guy on the top left side of the picture. Sorry, that's as much as you'll see of him for now.

This is a picture
of me and my lovely roommates after
spending the evening decorating our
home. You can't tell all that much in
the photo but it is quite nice. That
helped to make it feel a bit more like
Christmas because the weather sure didn't. It's been in the mid 30's this
whole week!

This past week, at our campus, we had our National Leaders Meeting (NLM) that happens twice a year. This however was the first time in a long time that they decided to have this conference here on the west side of Australia as oppose to the east. YWAMers and base leaders from other Australian bases, 60 all together, came and joined us for one week. I was so blessed to get imput from people that have been doing this for a long time and just wisdom they had to share with us. We had two sessions a day on a certain topic as well as cooperate times where we just sought the Lord. As well as attending this conference, I was part of the hospitality crew serving the executive team and being part of the worship team for most of the morning times. It wasn't all listening and worship we had some fun games nights. One of which we had a huge scarble game where members of each team had to do certain things in order to accumilate letters. People had to come to me and I'd show them a face and they had to guess who it was. We had a fun night. I also got to play 2 1/2 hours of volleyball one evening, which really blessed me.
Some quotes and statements from sessions I was a part of.
- What do I resort to in times of pain, pleasure( self seeking), power or comfort for the living God?
-Humility is being known for who you are
-Will I cease to be disloyal to God's character that he is always just, faithful, compassionate, gracious, good, abounding in love etc...
-The fullness of God dwells in you!
-Focus on Jesus and not no your sin or what your not
-I've been made to live and love like Jesus!
-Sin hardens our heart. Confession is so powerful! Holiness is attractive!

I live in this home with 10 other girls at the moment but the house can sleep 12. As you can imagine this makes for some interesting and fun times especially with one bathroom. As little of space we do get I am still really bless to have these amazing women in my life that love, encourage and challenge me constantly.

Working away serving with ARMS ( Australian Relief and Mercy Services) ministry. Yes, I know I'm not being very safe with my flip flops and no eye protection. Here I am helping a lady get her yard looking good so that she can pass inspection and get a better home away from an abusive partner.

This is one of the new building we recently purchased. Five staff and 20 students will be moving in there shortly.
Today we as a worship team spent some time praying and worshiping in the building. We also walked around praying and asking God about is place and things to be aware of from past residents.

This isn't the greatest picture because of the glare but this picture is out side of a bakery that donate all their left over bread at the end of the day. We are really blessed by that. My friend Barbs and I were on the roaster to pick up the bread here at 6pm for the week.

Volleyball! This is where I play almost every lunch hour for about 40 minutes. It's such a blessing to have a volleyball court on base. I don't know if you can tell but there are flood lights on either side of the volleyball net. We got those a few months back as a DTS ( Discipleship Training School) trusted and ask God, as a school, for the finances to pitch in to buy them. This way we can play in the evenings now seeing as the sun sets quite early here, unlike Canada.

New Season!

My amazing ARMS (Australian Relief and Mercy Services) team! There are two families that are part of our team as well that were not in the office at the time of the picture. I was just recently asked to pray about joining the ARMS leadership team. After much prayer and thought and hearing from the Lord, I accepted the 2 year commitment as well as the added responsibilities. Please keep me in your prayers with this transition, for wisdom and discernment in making the many decisions that need to be made daily. Thank you!

Hi! It's Monday night at 10pm and I'm tired after a long day cleaning.Every three months we spend the whole day cleaning the campus here in order to get ready for the next group of students coming. I spent the whole afternoon scrubing down this one bathroom we have. Believe it or not I did enjoy it doing it. Sorry, I have picture's to prove it.

Just to back track a little. I've now been back in Perth about two weeks after being away from here just short of 3 months. I came home to a full house, having 11 other girls in it. We don't always have so many but this time we did. Wow, was it ever a challenge to get ready in the one bathroom. Two of my housemates will be moving into another building we purchased recently. It's sad but exciting as well that God is opening up to us property to buy as we feel that this is the area of the city where he has called us to stay. We even had one business call us up and ask if we were interested in buying their warehouse! They are calling us!

I am back in the ministry I was working with ARMS (Australian Relief and Mercy Services). I went to visit this one man that lives in a caravan park, which we have been visiting for at least a year now. Anyway, we have been praying that he would get an apartment for a long time now, and he did last week! He said that it must have been your prayers and he does not really believe in God.

I should go to bed now. Next time I'll post some picture's of something you might find interesting, I hope. Please don't be shy to drop me a note. I love hearing from you guys.

The first picture of me near the water is at this place called Cape Point. The other picture's is where I spent a week for a YWAM conference. I stayed in those round homes which were really great. I got to do some hiking as well which I loved. The one picture with the four screens is three other locations in the world, Switzerland, Ukraine, Egypt and of course South Africa, where we joined together to hear different speakers talk to us all at the same time. It was really neat to have YWAMers all over the world being connected together. We were around 500 people having 50 different nationalities represented at our location alone. It was cool to be able to see some people that I recognized from the different locations on the screen. I was also part of the worship team while being there. It wasn't a planned thing but they asked me to help out. Thank you to all of you who made it possible for me to a part of what God is doing in South Africa as well as the nations of the earth. These are exciting times!

This is us after finishing our painting job in someone's house who holds church services there.

The far left is me obviously being mobbed by heaps of kids loving my hair.

We just stop to take some picture's on our way to Cape Point.

Good afternoon! Our team just spent the morning on the train doing evangelism and public proclamation. We basically just rode the train one way and back and shared with people. I highly recommend it in Cape Town. The people are so receptive and open here. Two people came to know the Lord and many received prayer.

Yesterday we went visiting people in their homes and just asking them if there was anything we could pray for them for. As soon as we asked this one lady she began to cry because she had just finish praying and asking God to send someone, anyone to pray with her.

God is on the move in Cape Town! In all the countries I have traveled to this city is the most open.

The picture is me taking care of this little boy while his mother was at work. We led her to the Lord and prayed for God to provide a job for her. After that she felt led to walk in a hair dressing salon and they happen to be hiring right than and there. So her first day at work was Saturday and she didn't have a daycare for her son we took care of him.

Cape Town, South Africa!

Greetings from the beautiful country of Cape Town! I now have been here one week on a five week outreach. Things have been going quite well besides having a bit of a slow start with all of us getting sick. We are doing much better and getting in the swing of things. We have been meeting at lot of people and have really enjoyed getting to know their culture. I have found that they are incredibly friendly and generous people. We have had a lot of great conversations about God and have been able to pray with many. One lady was healed from breast cancer when a person had prayed for her last time so she was in faith for complete healing of her knee. That was today so hopefully when we see her again she will have an exciting testimony of God's healing.

The weather has been as I expected their winter to be, rainy and quite chilly. This being quite similar to Perth. However, we have been getting some nice warm days.

On one of our days off we went to the water front harbor for a few hours. We had a lovely time taking in the beautiful sites. The topic of conversation was also about if and when we were going to go to "Table Mountain" and see the view from up top. There is a 2 1/2 hour hike up to the top but we are unsure if we will attempted it yet.
